After Tokyo, we taught in Osaka for a weekend. Osaka is a very different city from Tokyo, as NYC is different from LA, and the students reflected that. We were hosted by Haidar Ali of YogaSpirit and were moved by the sincerity of Haidar’s dedication to yoga and the welfare his students. Perhaps this is why the workshop participants were so memorable, they reflected the desire to learn as much as they can about the expanding world of yoga.

 

We had one day off while in Osaka and used that time to visit Osaka Castle, what a beautiful place! After a day of being a tourist we were ready to take the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Yokohama where we participated in the Japan Yoga Festival.
