Workshop in Osaka
After Tokyo, we taught in Osaka for a weekend. Osaka is a very different city from Tokyo, as NYC is different from LA, and the students reflected that. We were hosted by Haidar Ali of YogaSpirit and were moved by the sincerity of Haidar’s dedication to yoga and the welfare his students. Perhaps this is why the workshop participants were so memorable, they reflected the desire to learn as much as they can about the expanding world of yoga.

The Japan Yoga Festival is organized by Satoshi Watamoto and the Yoga Works staff. Once again Kanako san was our liaison and Yuki san was our translator. One class was a ninety minute yin yoga practice and the other was a presentation on skeletal anatomy. Both classes were full and very inspiring to teach.

It was three years in the making, but we finally made it to Singapore. Thanks to the dedication and persuasive talents of Ms Jolene Phee we taught five days of classes at True Yoga. Jolene has been a strong voice for yin yoga in Asia and the testimony to her dedication was the number and quality of students that attended the workshops. Thank you Jo!
